All-Star Nomination Forms Due May 4th

The window is open for nominations for selection to an NJB all-star team for the 2013 tournament season. NJB will once again sanction teams in the 7U to 14U age groups. To learn more about the all-star selection process or to nominate your child, visit the All-Star Nomination letter & form. Nominations must be returned to your coach or league president by May 4th.

Baseball Season is here! As a sponsor of Newburgh Jr Baseball, the Evansville Dick’s Sporting Goods store location will be holding a NJB Appreciation Discount Day this Saturday, April 6^th, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Any NJB participant can click this link - http://app.dcsg.com/couponsheet/?s=797115 - to print out your Baseball Team Packet Coupon sheet, which is good for discounts off your baseball purchases (as listed on the coupon). In addition, on the Appreciation Day, you may combine your Baseball Team Packet Coupons with the Appreciation Day coupon to receive an additional 15% off your entire purchase storewide – not limited to just baseball items. This is a great opportunity to get your glove, bat, helmet, cleats, and any other items that you may need for the season at a large discount. NJB Night at Castle HS Baseball

The Castle High School baseball team will host NJB Nights on April 10th & 11th at the high school.

April 10th – 5:00 PM vs. Harrison
April 11th – 5:30 PM vs. Jasper

NJB players will receive free admission to the game. Players are asked to wear an NJB jersey or hat if possible. Otherwise just notify the gate attendant that they are a registered NJB player. Please note that free admission is just for players only.

Come out next week to support the Knights on their quest for back-to-back Sectional championships!

Player Skills Evaluations This Saturday

Skills evaluations are this coming Saturday March 16th at Castle High School. Times are as follows:

League III (7-8 yr old) 12:30-3:30 PM

League II (9-10 yr old) 4:00-7:00 PM

League I (11-12 yr old) 1:00-3:00 PM

Babe Ruth (13-15 yr old) 3:30-5:30 PM

Players in League IV (6 yr old) and T-Ball (4-5 yr old) do not have pre-draft skills evaluations. Players will participate in a brief workout including hitting, throwing, and fielding. All players should wear tennis/athletic shoes (no cleats) and bring their gloves. They may bring their own bats if desired.
